I’m the home cook behind YumDishy.

I didn’t go to culinary school. I didn’t grow up in a restaurant kitchen. What I did grow up with was a deep love for simple, homemade food — the kind that fills the house with warmth and makes everyone gather around the table a little faster.

But my journey with cooking wasn’t always smooth.

There was a time when I felt completely overwhelmed in the kitchen. I would scroll through beautiful recipes online, only to find long ingredient lists, complicated techniques, and steps that made me feel like I needed professional training just to cook dinner. Instead of feeling inspired, I felt discouraged.

Cooking started to feel stressful — and that’s when I knew something had to change.
