Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, finely chopped
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika until well combined.
- Chill the mixture for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Scoop mixture and roll into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry cheese balls in batches for 2–3 minutes, until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with ranch or dipping sauce of choice.

- Chilling helps prevent cheese balls from breaking while frying.
- Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation.
