Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, finely chopped
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika until well combined.
  2. Chill the mixture for 30 minutes to firm up.
  3. Scoop mixture and roll into 1-inch balls.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry cheese balls in batches for 2–3 minutes, until golden brown.
