Description

Juicy baked shrimp coated in a buttery garlic and Parmesan mixture, finished with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon. This quick and flavorful dish is perfect as an appetizer or light main course.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or sheet pan.
  2. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the shrimp.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs, then sprinkle evenly over the shrimp.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.
  7. Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes if desired for a golden topping.
  8. Remove from oven, drizzle with lemon juice, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Do not overbake, as shrimp cook quickly and can become rubbery.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and melting.
