Description

A moist and fluffy banana cake layered with creamy vanilla pudding and whipped topping, inspired by classic banana pudding for a comforting and crowd-pleasing dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 23 bananas)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk (for pudding)
  • 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
  • Cooking spray for greasing


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, mashed bananas, and milk until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Allow cake to cool completely.
  5. In a bowl, whisk instant pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
  6. Spread pudding evenly over the cooled cake.
  7. Top with whipped topping and sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers over the top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.

Notes
