Description
Buffalo Chicken Mozzarella Sticks are crispy, golden appetizers stuffed with shredded buffalo chicken and gooey mozzarella cheese, coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, finely shredded
- 1/3 cup buffalo sauce
- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
- Carefully split each mozzarella stick lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Spoon buffalo chicken mixture into each stick and press closed.
- Place stuffed sticks in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
- Coat each frozen stick in flour, dip in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crispiness.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry sticks in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

- Freezing is essential to prevent cheese from leaking while frying.
- For a lighter version, air fry at 390°F for 6–8 minutes.
