Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 225 g cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and dark chocolate together until smooth; allow to cool slightly.
- Whisk in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Spoon cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the cheesecake into the brownie layer.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until set but slightly fudgy in the center.
- Cool completely before slicing.
