Description

Thick slices of cauliflower roasted until tender and topped with melted cheese, creating a delicious and satisfying vegetarian main or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower head, sliced into thick steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange cauliflower steaks on the tray.
  3. Brush both sides with olive oil.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  5. Roast for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheese and Parmesan on top.
  7. Return to oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
