Description

Cherry Cheesecake Brownies are rich, fudgy chocolate brownies swirled with creamy cheesecake filling and topped with sweet cherry pie filling for a decadent layered dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Reserve 1/4 cup of brownie batter. Spread the remaining batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  6. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
  7. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of reserved brownie batter on top and use a knife to gently swirl.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
