Description
Cherry Cheesecake Brownies are rich, fudgy chocolate brownies swirled with creamy cheesecake filling and topped with sweet cherry pie filling for a decadent layered dessert.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Reserve 1/4 cup of brownie batter. Spread the remaining batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix until creamy.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
- Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.
- Drop spoonfuls of reserved brownie batter on top and use a knife to gently swirl.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
