Description
A simple yet elegant cranberry brie tart made with flaky puff pastry, creamy brie, and sweet-tart cranberry sauce—perfect for holidays or entertaining.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 6–8 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold the puff pastry and place it on the baking sheet. Score a 1-inch border around the edges without cutting through.
- Use a fork to lightly prick the center area of the pastry to prevent excessive puffing.
- Brush the outer border with egg wash.
- Arrange slices of brie evenly inside the scored rectangle.
- Spoon cranberry sauce over the brie, spreading gently.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is melted.
- Drizzle with honey and garnish with rosemary if desired. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of toasted pecans on top after baking.
- Use a wheel of brie and remove the rind if preferred for a smoother melt.
- Pairs well with crackers, salad, or as part of a festive appetizer spread.
