Description
Crispy Doritos stuffed with a creamy cheese and bacon filling, breaded and fried until golden for an indulgent, crowd-pleasing snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 large bag Doritos (Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Gently open Doritos slightly along one edge to create space for filling.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped bacon, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Carefully spoon or pipe a small amount of filling into each Dorito.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Dip stuffed Doritos into flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, coating evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan to 175°C (350°F).
- Fry stuffed Doritos in small batches for 1–2 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
- Handle Doritos gently to prevent breaking.
- You can air-fry at 190°C (375°F) for 6–8 minutes as an alternative.
- Best enjoyed immediately while crispy.
