Description

Creamy Mushroom Marsala Sauce is a rich and savory sauce made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and sweet Marsala wine blended with cream for a velvety finish, perfect over chicken, steak, or pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in Marsala wine and simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Add broth and simmer another 3 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and thyme.
  7. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until sauce thickens.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

  • Allow wine to reduce to enhance flavor.
