Description
Creamy Mushroom Marsala Sauce is a rich and savory sauce made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and sweet Marsala wine blended with cream for a velvety finish, perfect over chicken, steak, or pasta.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in Marsala wine and simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add broth and simmer another 3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and thyme.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

- Allow wine to reduce to enhance flavor.
- Use fresh mushrooms for best texture.
