Description

Deep Hamburger Sausage Pepperoni Bake is a hearty, layered casserole packed with seasoned ground beef, savory sausage, spicy pepperoni, rich tomato sauce, and plenty of melted cheese, baked to bubbly perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked pasta or diced potatoes (optional, for a deeper bake)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and cook until softened, then stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, breaking it up as it cooks until browned.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then drain excess grease.
  6. Stir marinara or pizza sauce into the meat mixture.
  7. In a greased deep baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture, followed by half of the pasta or potatoes if using.
  8. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the pepperoni.
  9. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  12. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use spicy sausage or pepperoni for extra heat.
  • This dish pairs well with a green salad or garlic bread.
  • Allow resting time so layers hold together when sliced.
