Description

An easy dump-and-bake casserole made with tender meatballs, pasta, sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner with minimal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) frozen meatballs
  • 12 oz uncooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups water or beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Add uncooked pasta, frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, water or broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the baking dish.
  3. Stir gently to combine and ensure pasta is mostly submerged.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, stir, and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly on top.
  6. Return to oven uncovered and bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure pasta is fully covered with liquid for even cooking.
  • Use halal meatballs if required.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
