Description

Easy Chocolate Truffles are rich, smooth, and decadent bite-sized treats made with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for gifting or indulging, these no-fuss truffles melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (optional, for extra smoothness)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (for coating)
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles, or melted chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer (do not boil).
  3. Pour hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla extract and butter (if using), then stir until smooth and fully combined.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
  6. Scoop small portions and roll into balls using your hands.
  7. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or desired toppings.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture.
  • If mixture becomes too soft while rolling, chill again for 10–15 minutes.
