Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add eggs, oil, vanilla extract, and crushed pineapple with its juice. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
