Description
Tender and juicy ribs coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze, slow-baked until perfectly caramelized and packed with sweet and savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) pork ribs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker glaze)
- 1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Season ribs with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Wrap ribs tightly in foil and bake for 2–2 1/2 hours until tender.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- If a thicker glaze is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce. Cook until thickened.
- Remove ribs from oven and increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush ribs generously with honey garlic glaze.
- Return to oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra char, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
- Marinate ribs in the sauce for 1 hour before baking for deeper flavor.
- Great served with rice or roasted vegetables.
