Description

Tender and juicy ribs coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze, slow-baked until perfectly caramelized and packed with sweet and savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) pork ribs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thicker glaze)
  • 1 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Season ribs with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Wrap ribs tightly in foil and bake for 2–2 1/2 hours until tender.
  4. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  5. If a thicker glaze is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce. Cook until thickened.
  6. Remove ribs from oven and increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Brush ribs generously with honey garlic glaze.
  8. Return to oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra char, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
  • Marinate ribs in the sauce for 1 hour before baking for deeper flavor.
  • Great served with rice or roasted vegetables.
