Description

A comforting French fry casserole bake layered with seasoned ground beef, creamy sauce, melted cheese, and crispy golden fries, perfect for an easy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 500 g frozen French fries
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and sauté until soft, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned; season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  6. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until combined.
  7. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the beef layer.
  9. Arrange frozen French fries evenly on top.
  10. Bake for 30–35 minutes until fries are crispy and cheese is bubbly.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
