Description
A quick and flavorful honey garlic chicken stir fry made with tender chicken pieces, crisp vegetables, and a sweet-savory garlic sauce perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 500 g boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 medium carrot, sliced
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Toss sliced chicken with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot, cooking for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Cook for another 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles.
- Do not overcook vegetables to keep them crisp.
- You can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu.
