Description

A quick and flavorful honey garlic chicken stir fry made with tender chicken pieces, crisp vegetables, and a sweet-savory garlic sauce perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Toss sliced chicken with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  6. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot, cooking for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
  7. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  8. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over steamed rice or noodles.
  • Do not overcook vegetables to keep them crisp.
  • You can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu.
