Louisiana Voodoo Fries are crispy French fries tossed with bold Cajun seasoning and topped with melted cheese and creamy ranch drizzle, delivering spicy, savory Southern-inspired flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- Toss fries with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Remove fries from oven and sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
- Return to oven for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Drizzle with ranch dressing and garnish with green onions.
- Serve immediately.

- For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
