Description
Magic Cookie Bars, also known as 7-Layer Bars, are an easy dessert made with a buttery graham cracker crust layered with chocolate chips, coconut, nuts, and sweetened condensed milk. They bake into a rich, chewy, irresistible treat.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press firmly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Evenly sprinkle chocolate chips over the crust.
- Add butterscotch chips, followed by shredded coconut.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the top.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over all layers.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden on top.
- Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Do not stir the layers.
- Line the pan with parchment for easier removal.
- Bars firm up as they cool.
