Description

Passion Fruit Mousse is a light, creamy, and refreshing dessert made with passion fruit pulp, sweetened condensed milk, and cream. This tropical treat has a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors and requires minimal effort to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup passion fruit pulp (fresh or frozen, seeds optional)
  • 1 can (14 oz / 395 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)
  • Fresh passion fruit seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using fresh passion fruit, scoop out the pulp and strain lightly if you prefer fewer seeds.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream (and powdered sugar, if using) until soft peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and passion fruit pulp until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the passion fruit mixture until fully incorporated and airy.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  7. Garnish with extra passion fruit pulp or seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger passion fruit flavor, add a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
  • Chill mixing bowl and beaters before whipping cream for better volume.
  • This dessert can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
  • For a lighter version, substitute part of the cream with Greek yogurt.
