Description
Philadelphia Cheesecake Bars are rich, creamy dessert bars made with smooth cream cheese filling over a buttery graham cracker crust. They’re easy to slice, serve, and perfect for parties or make-ahead desserts.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
- 16 oz Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar until combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add remaining sugar and mix until creamy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract, sour cream, and flour.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until the center is set.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture.
- Do not overmix after adding eggs to avoid cracks.
- Chill thoroughly before cutting for clean slices.
- Top with fruit or chocolate if desired.
