Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place asparagus on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
- Spread in a single layer.
- Roast for 12-15 minutes until tender and slightly crisp.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle lemon zest.
- Top with parmesan cheese if desired.
- Serve warm.

- Do not overcook to keep asparagus crisp.
- Thicker stalks may need extra cooking time.
