Description
Savory and cheesy sausage balls made with Rotel tomatoes, cream cheese, and biscuit mix, baked until golden and perfect for parties or game day snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, well drained
- 2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine sausage and softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Stir in drained Rotel, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Gradually mix in baking mix until fully incorporated.
- Form mixture into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Drain the Rotel thoroughly to prevent excess moisture.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Serve with ranch or spicy dipping sauce if desired.
