Description

Savory and cheesy sausage balls made with Rotel tomatoes, cream cheese, and biscuit mix, baked until golden and perfect for parties or game day snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, well drained
  • 2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sausage and softened cream cheese until well blended.
  3. Stir in drained Rotel, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Gradually mix in baking mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Form mixture into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Drain the Rotel thoroughly to prevent excess moisture.
  • Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
  • Serve with ranch or spicy dipping sauce if desired.
