Tender slow cooker meatballs simmered in a rich, flavorful sauce, perfect for an easy hands-off dinner or party appetizer.
Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, garlic, onion, oregano, black pepper, salt, and olive oil.
- Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
- Place meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Pour marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Gently stir once halfway through cooking.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix the meat to keep meatballs tender.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or as a sandwich filling.
- Leftovers freeze well for up to 2 months.
