Description

Crispy roasted sweet potatoes tossed with spicy chili flakes, fresh garlic, and bright lemon zest for a bold, flavorful side dish with irresistible crunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss diced sweet potatoes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and chili flakes. Mix well.
  4. Spread in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. During the last 5 minutes, sprinkle minced garlic over the potatoes and return to oven.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately toss with lemon zest and lemon juice.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
