Description
Spicy Tuna Melt is a bold and comforting sandwich made with creamy tuna mixed with spicy seasonings, topped with melted cheese and toasted to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
- 4 slices bread
- 4 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix drained tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and green onions until well combined.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread the spicy tuna mixture evenly over the bread in the skillet.
- Top each with two slices of cheese.
- Cover with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- Add sliced jalapeños for extra heat.
- Use whole-grain bread for added texture and fiber.
- For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
- Best served immediately while the cheese is melted and gooey.
