Description

Spicy Tuna Melt is a bold and comforting sandwich made with creamy tuna mixed with spicy seasonings, topped with melted cheese and toasted to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix drained tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and green onions until well combined.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place two slices of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Spread the spicy tuna mixture evenly over the bread in the skillet.
  5. Top each with two slices of cheese.
  6. Cover with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  7. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add sliced jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Use whole-grain bread for added texture and fiber.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
  • Best served immediately while the cheese is melted and gooey.
