Description
Triple Chocolate Banana Bread is a rich, moist banana bread loaded with cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and melted chocolate for an intensely chocolatey dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 120 ml vegetable oil or melted butter
- 150 g granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 190 g all-purpose flour
- 40 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 100 g dark chocolate chips
- 80 g milk chocolate chunks
- 60 g melted dark chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, oil or butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the top and gently swirl if desired.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness and moisture.
- Do not overmix to keep the bread tender.
