Description

Triple Chocolate Banana Bread is a rich, moist banana bread loaded with cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and melted chocolate for an intensely chocolatey dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 120 ml vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 190 g all-purpose flour
  • 40 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100 g dark chocolate chips
  • 80 g milk chocolate chunks
  • 60 g melted dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, oil or butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the top and gently swirl if desired.
  8. Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness and moisture.
  • Do not overmix to keep the bread tender.
