Description

Bacon Ranch Chicken Toast Casserole is a rich and comforting baked dish featuring toasted bread cubes, tender chicken, crispy beef bacon, creamy ranch sauce, and plenty of melted cheese. This hearty casserole is perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or using up leftover chicken.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups garlic toast or thick bread, cubed
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 8 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the bread cubes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine chicken, beef bacon, ranch seasoning, ranch dressing, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and half of the green onions.
  4. Mix until well combined.
  5. Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the bread cubes.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top.
  7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and continue baking for 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish with remaining green onions and parsley before serving.

  • Rotisserie chicken works perfectly for this recipe.
  • Texas toast or garlic bread adds extra flavor and texture.
  • Monterey Jack cheese can be substituted for mozzarella.
