Description

Burrata Stuffed Chicken is an elegant yet easy dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts filled with creamy burrata cheese, garlic, and herbs, then seared and baked to perfection. The melted burrata creates a rich, luxurious center that pairs beautifully with the savory chicken.

Ingredients

  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz burrata cheese, drained
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Using a sharp knife, cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast.
  3. In a bowl, combine burrata, garlic, Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, basil, and parsley.
  4. Stuff each chicken breast with the burrata mixture and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  5. Season the outside of the chicken with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Heat olive oil and butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Add cherry tomatoes around the chicken if using.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the oven.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  11. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  12. Remove toothpicks and garnish with additional basil and parsley.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the chicken pockets to prevent leakage during cooking.
  • Bring burrata to room temperature before stuffing for easier mixing.
  • Chicken thighs are not recommended for this recipe because they are difficult to stuff.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.
