Description

Soft and fluffy cheese garlic rolls brushed with buttery garlic and loaded with melted cheese—perfect as a side dish or snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter (for topping)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down dough and divide into small portions.
  5. Flatten each piece, add cheese in the center, and roll into balls.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 20 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  8. Bake rolls for 18-20 minutes until golden.
  9. Mix melted butter with garlic and brush over hot rolls.
  10. Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use warm (not hot) milk to activate yeast properly.
  • Do not overfill with cheese to avoid leaking.
  • Brush garlic butter while rolls are hot for best flavor.
  • Add parmesan on top for extra cheesiness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
