Description
Soft and fluffy cheese garlic rolls brushed with buttery garlic and loaded with melted cheese—perfect as a side dish or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter (for topping)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix and knead into a soft dough.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down dough and divide into small portions.
- Flatten each piece, add cheese in the center, and roll into balls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake rolls for 18-20 minutes until golden.
- Mix melted butter with garlic and brush over hot rolls.
- Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use warm (not hot) milk to activate yeast properly.
- Do not overfill with cheese to avoid leaking.
- Brush garlic butter while rolls are hot for best flavor.
- Add parmesan on top for extra cheesiness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
