Description

Cheeseburger Garlic Toast Bake is a hearty and family-friendly casserole featuring seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and crispy garlic toast layered together for a comforting meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with cheesy garlic bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (8 slices) frozen garlic Texas toast
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Bake the garlic toast according to package directions until lightly crisp but not fully browned.
  3. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  5. Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  6. Stir in garlic, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Cook for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  8. Arrange the garlic toast slices in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  9. Spoon the cheeseburger mixture evenly over the toast.
  10. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the top.
  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove from the oven and top with chopped pickles.
  13. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
  • Beef bacon crumbles can be added for extra flavor.
  • American cheese can replace part of the cheddar for a classic cheeseburger taste.
  • Serve with a side salad or fries.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.
