Description

Juicy chicken breasts cooked in a rich and creamy garlic parmesan sauce, creating a comforting and flavorful dish perfect for serving with pasta, rice, or vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thickened.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  9. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the chicken is heated through and the sauce thickens.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Freshly grated parmesan melts better and gives a smoother sauce.
  • Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
