Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts, halved and flattened
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Pickles (optional)
- Mayonnaise or burger sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine buttermilk with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour and cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade and coat well in the flour mixture.
- Fry chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Toast burger buns lightly.
