Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, halved and flattened
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Mayonnaise or burger sauce


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine buttermilk with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour and cornstarch.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and coat well in the flour mixture.
  6. Fry chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Toast burger buns lightly.
  9. Assemble burgers with sauce, lettuce, tomato, fried chicken, and pickles if desired.
  10. Serve hot.
