Description

Golden crispy chicken bites tossed in a sticky honey garlic lemon sauce, delivering a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
  • Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Prepare dredging stations: beaten eggs in one bowl and flour mixed with cornstarch in another.
  3. Dip chicken into egg, then coat in flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes until crispy and golden. Remove and drain.
  6. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  7. Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, lemon zest, and brown sugar. Simmer.
  8. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
  9. Toss fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
  10. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Double fry for extra crispiness.
  • Adjust lemon for desired tanginess.
  • Use chicken thighs for juicier texture.
