Description
Simple roasted Brussels sprouts that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, tossed with olive oil, garlic, and seasoning for a healthy and flavorful side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
- In a bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Spread evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with lemon juice if desired.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.
Notes
- Cut large sprouts into quarters for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure crispiness.
- Add balsamic glaze or honey for a sweet variation.
- Can be made vegan by omitting Parmesan.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
