Description

Simple roasted Brussels sprouts that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, tossed with olive oil, garlic, and seasoning for a healthy and flavorful side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Spread evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and drizzle with lemon juice if desired.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cut large sprouts into quarters for even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure crispiness.
  • Add balsamic glaze or honey for a sweet variation.
  • Can be made vegan by omitting Parmesan.
