Description

Easy Garlic Parmesan Meatball Subs are warm and cheesy sandwiches filled with juicy meatballs, creamy garlic parmesan sauce, and melted mozzarella served on toasted sub rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or homemade meatballs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook meatballs according to package directions or prepare homemade meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Slice sub rolls and lightly toast if desired.
  8. Place meatballs into the sub rolls.
  9. Spoon extra garlic parmesan sauce over the meatballs.
  10. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  11. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Freshly grated parmesan creates the smoothest sauce.
  • Use mozzarella or provolone cheese for the best melt.
  • Toasted rolls help prevent sogginess.
  • Serve with fries or salad.
  • Store leftover meatballs refrigerated for up to 3 days.
