Description

A fresh and flavorful Caprese sandwich made with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze on crusty bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette or ciabatta loaf
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 200g fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the bread.
  3. Layer tomato slices evenly on the bottom half.
  4. Add mozzarella slices over the tomatoes.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Add fresh basil leaves.
  7. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the filling.
  8. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.
  9. Slice and serve immediately, or grill lightly for a warm version.
