Description

Garlic Butter Philly Cheesesteak Bowls are hearty low-carb bowls filled with juicy steak, sautéed peppers and onions, garlic butter mushrooms, and melted provolone cheese for all the classic cheesesteak flavors without the bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak or shaved beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Season steak with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter.
  5. Add garlic, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Cook for 6-8 minutes until softened.
  6. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Return steak to the skillet and toss everything together.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve hot in bowls.

  • Use ribeye steak for extra tenderness and flavor.
  • Serve over cauliflower rice for a complete low-carb meal.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet when cooking steak.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy variation.
  • Freshly shredded cheese melts best.
