Description
Grilled Cheese & Soup is a classic comfort meal featuring crispy, buttery toasted bread with melted cheese paired with a warm, creamy soup for a cozy and satisfying dish.
Ingredients
- 4 slices bread
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
- 2 cups tomato soup (or any soup of choice)
- 1/2 cup milk (for soup, optional)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a pan over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices in the pan, buttered side down.
- Add cheese slices on top, then cover with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until cheese is melted.
- In a pot, heat the soup over medium heat, adding milk if desired for creaminess.
- Season soup with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice grilled cheese sandwiches in half.
- Serve hot with soup on the side.
