Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, butterflied or flattened
- 4 slices turkey ham or beef ham
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 sandwich buns or ciabatta rolls
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Lettuce leaves (optional)
- Sliced tomatoes (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Grill chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked.
- Top each chicken piece with turkey ham and Swiss cheese during the last minute of cooking.
- Cover briefly to melt the cheese.
- Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
- Toast sandwich buns lightly.
- Spread sauce on the buns.
- Assemble sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and the grilled chicken cordon bleu filling.
- Serve warm.
