Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich is a savory sandwich featuring juicy grilled chicken, melted Swiss cheese, smoky turkey ham, and creamy Dijon sauce served on toasted buns.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slices turkey ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 sandwich buns or brioche buns
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter for toasting buns
  • Lettuce and tomato slices (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat.
  3. Brush chicken with olive oil and grill for 5-6 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, top each chicken breast with turkey ham and Swiss cheese.
  5. Cover briefly to allow the cheese to melt.
  6. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey to make the sauce.
  7. Butter the sandwich buns lightly and toast until golden.
  8. Spread sauce onto the buns.
  9. Assemble sandwiches with grilled chicken, lettuce, and tomato if desired.
  10. Serve warm.
