Description

Hot Honey Turkey Melt is a sweet-and-spicy sandwich loaded with tender sliced turkey, melted provolone cheese, crispy bacon-style turkey strips, and a drizzle of hot honey on toasted artisan bread. This quick and satisfying melt delivers the perfect balance of savory, cheesy, and spicy-sweet flavors.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices sourdough or artisan bread
  • 12 oz sliced roasted turkey breast
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked crispy
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup baby arugula (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer turkey breast evenly onto four slices of bread.
  4. Top with provolone cheese and crispy turkey bacon.
  5. Drizzle each sandwich with hot honey.
  6. Add arugula if using.
  7. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  8. Butter the outside of each sandwich lightly.
  9. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  10. Cook sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  11. Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute.
  12. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of hot honey to control the spice level.
  • Swiss or mozzarella cheese can be substituted for provolone.
  • A panini press works well for extra crispness.
  • Add sliced tomatoes or pickles for additional flavor.
  • Best served immediately while the cheese is melted.
