Description

Juicy and flavorful fried lamb chops seasoned with aromatic spices, pan-seared to a golden crust, and cooked to tender perfection. A quick and elegant dish perfect for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 lamb chops
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Pat lamb chops dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, paprika, and lemon juice.
  3. Rub the marinade over the lamb chops and let rest for at least 15–30 minutes.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add a little olive oil and place the lamb chops in the skillet.
  6. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to desired doneness.
  7. Add butter during the last minute and spoon over the chops for extra flavor.
  8. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed.
  • Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (135°F/57°C for medium-rare).
  • Letting the meat rest helps retain juices.
  • Pairs well with roasted vegetables, potatoes, or salad.
  • Can be marinated longer (up to 4 hours) for deeper flavor.
