Description

Korean Steak Sandwich is a bold and savory sandwich featuring tender marinated steak, spicy Korean-inspired sauce, crunchy vegetables, and toasted bread for a flavorful fusion meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 ciabatta rolls or sandwich buns
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • Sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, gochujang, and rice vinegar.
  2. Add sliced steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Mix mayonnaise and sriracha in a small bowl to create spicy mayo.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
  5. Add marinated steak and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  6. Toast sandwich buns lightly if desired.
  7. Spread spicy mayo onto the buns.
  8. Layer steak, shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions onto the bread.
  9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
