A comforting and creamy loaded baked potato casserole packed with tender potatoes, cheese, and savory toppings, baked until golden and bubbly.
Ingredients
- 4 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup beef bacon (halal), cooked and crumbled
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a baking dish.
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain.
- Mash potatoes with butter, milk, sour cream, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Stir in half of the cheese and half of the beef bacon.
- Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese and beef bacon.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of paprika.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use halal-certified beef bacon.
- Add cream cheese for extra richness.
- Do not overmix potatoes to keep them fluffy.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked later.
