Description

Loaded Steakhouse Chicken is a hearty restaurant-style dinner featuring juicy seasoned chicken breasts topped with melted cheddar cheese, crispy beef bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and green onions. Packed with steakhouse flavors, this protein-rich meal is perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and dried parsley.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Meanwhile, melt butter in a separate skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add mushrooms and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  8. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  9. Remove chicken from the oven and top each breast with cheddar cheese.
  10. Sprinkle sautéed mushrooms and crumbled beef bacon over the cheese.
  11. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  12. Garnish with green onions and fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheddar cheese for the best melt and flavor.
  • Chicken thighs may be substituted for a juicier option.
  • Add a dollop of sour cream when serving for a loaded baked potato-inspired twist.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side salad.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.
