Description

Crispy roasted avocado fries made without frying—golden on the outside, creamy on the inside, and a healthier twist on a classic snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm avocados, sliced into wedges
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing or spraying)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Dip each avocado slice into flour, then egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place coated slices on the baking tray.
  5. Lightly brush or spray with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use firm avocados to keep slices intact.
  • Air fry at 200°C for 10–12 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Serve with garlic aioli or spicy mayo.
  • Best enjoyed fresh for maximum crunch.
