Description
Crispy roasted avocado fries made without frying—golden on the outside, creamy on the inside, and a healthier twist on a classic snack.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe but firm avocados, sliced into wedges
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing or spraying)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Dip each avocado slice into flour, then egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Place coated slices on the baking tray.
- Lightly brush or spray with olive oil.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use firm avocados to keep slices intact.
- Air fry at 200°C for 10–12 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Serve with garlic aioli or spicy mayo.
- Best enjoyed fresh for maximum crunch.
