Description

Tender roasted carrots glazed with a sweet and spicy hot honey butter, creating a perfectly balanced side dish with bold flavor.


Ingredients

  • 500g carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Toss carrots with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Spread carrots evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  6. Add honey and chili flakes, stirring until combined and slightly bubbly.
  7. Remove carrots from oven and drizzle with hot honey butter.
  8. Toss to coat evenly and return to oven for 3–5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

  • Adjust chili flakes depending on your heat preference.
  • Use baby carrots for convenience.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.
