Description
A moist and rich pound cake infused with banana flavor and warm pudding layers, topped with a creamy vanilla glaze. This comforting dessert combines the classic flavors of banana pudding with a soft, buttery cake.
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix and banana pudding mix.
- Add eggs, oil, milk, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and sour cream.
- Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
- In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over the warm cake before serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix to keep the cake tender.
- Serve warm for a true pudding-like experience.
- Add crushed vanilla wafers on top for a banana pudding touch.
